Roll up, Roll up! Families are gearing up for festive fun at Garsons in Esher.
An Esher farm is benefiting from a decision to extend their operations to include seasonal festivals, including one specially aimed at Halloween.
Garsons Farm, a cosy family-owned garden centre in Esher, is hosting a Pumpkin Parade until October 31st to bring festive fun to their community.
With the farm being a popular hotspot for family days out, there is no surprise that the parade has become an annual tradition, with a spooky theme each year.
This year, a circus-inspired theme has taken over the farm and they are successfully bringing families together by hosting interactive carnival style games, handcrafted wacky decor, and a patch full of unique pumpkins to choose from.

Tickets are sold on their website, with the customer’s choice of a time slot, making the experience available to the whole community, especially families who must work around school hours, allowing everyone to experience the “pumpkin magic”.
It’s been so successful that tickets for October have sold out.
Social media manager Kirsty Love described the event in three words: “Rustic, traditional, family-oriented”.
In order to keep potential customers intrigued, Kirsty films taster videos to give their customers an idea of what to expect when they visit, while also keeping an aspect of surprise, building excitement around the event.
The family-run business, which has grown produce since 1871, has diversified into events which aim to bring people together and carry on the love of producing crops.
Kirsty told us that these events are an opportunity to “keep traditions alive, but also show children where food comes from, inspiring them to grow their own one day.”
Garsons have a strong commitment to sustainability, which they do through hosting various events for individuals of all ages, such as children’s seed planting and bug hotel workshops to educate them on environmentally friendly gardening skills.

The pumpkin parade successfully contributes to their passion for sustainability by growing, harvesting and hand-moving the thousands of pumpkins that are available to buy, which also makes them unique with all the different shapes and sizes that they come in.
The farm is one of the largest pick-your-own farms in the United Kingdom, with more than 155 acres, and they supply goods to Borough Market in south London.
The team at Esher put in a great effort to bring the autumnal festivities with produce, flowers and artful decorations.
Customers have made the most of the festivities and have given commendable feedback. Kirsty explained the response to the parade so far from visitors: “We’ve been tagged in so many photos and reels which we share on our social media channels.”
One user on Instagram said: “Highly recommend, such a lovely event”
All the stunning seasonal decorations have been hand-painted by Kirsty and her colleague Melanie Myers, conveying a sense of authenticity to the community whilst bringing the circus theme to life.
“We enjoy creating it all in-house, it’s a labour of love, and lots of customers say they can see that,” said Kirsty.
Once the Pumpkin Parade is over, Kirsty and the team will be gearing up to host Father Christmas in the run-up to the big day.
