In July 2015 presidential candidate Donald Trump made a sensational statement: “I think I’d get along very well with Putin.”

Despite the controversial behaviour of the American businessman which inflamed the feelings of many people, Russia looked forward to his inauguration with the hope that the new leader of the US will change the long-term enmity between the countries.

Artefact visited central Moscow, to find out what Russian citizens think about Donald Trump and the future of friendship between the two empires.
