‘We are all Jane Doe’: London reacts to the Cornell rape case

1 Mins read

Protest marches have followed the civil lawsuit against Cornell University, with many calling for greater awareness of sexual assault in educational spaces.

The Cornell rape case sparked a global conversation when the victim, known as ‘Jane Doe’, sued the university back in September 2026. Women across the world felt connected to the victim because it is all too common for sexual assault reports to be ignored.

The organisation ‘Enough’ supported the march, with co-founder Katie White speaking on the systemic issues surrounding sexual assault in the UK as well as the US.

Another march is expected to take place in Central London within the coming weeks, and you can find more information about the organisation ‘Enough’ at myenough.com.
