New laws have put a limit on how much tickets can be resold for, but some are still worth hundreds of pounds at face value.
In November 2025, legislation was introduced to tackle resellers who bought up tickets to resell at a higher price for profit.
However, this hasn’t reduced ticket prices entirely, and some can still be worth hundreds of pounds before resale tickets become available.
Dynamic pricing is the main factor for high prices, meaning that prices rise with demand, even minutes after tickets for an event have been released.
Will this be the next issue the government will tackle?
