The UK government have proposed relaxing licensing laws on venues and bars. This could significantly change how hospitality workers and punters alike experience nightlife in the city.

London’s nightlife could be facing a slow death, but new measures to combat this may be set in place. Pubs and venues in London are being offered a series of options regarding their licensing.

This means later opening times during events, more freedom to host live music, and less bureaucracy.

But how does this affect hospitality as a workplace, and will it change the profession and atmosphere in a positive way? We spoke to the team at Islington pub The Rosemary Branch to get their take on the situation.
