How a sauna sound bath is tackling the racial wellbeing gap.

How one practitioner at London Bridge made a positive move to support the wellness of people of colour.

Shaun Wood, a sauna sound bath practitioner, recognised a racial wellbeing gap through running his sauna events.

“I noticed over the course of two years (as a practitioner) … a lot of my sessions didn’t have a lot of people of colour in them.”

Despite the events being held in highly populated POC parts of London, such as the borough of Newham, where about 70% of the population is non-white.

So, Shaun set up Hue Space, a sauna events company aimed at hosting events for POC.

We visited his first event and speak to those who attended.
